Our review
EssayBox.com has been in the business of providing online writing services since 2008. In that 9 years, a number of students have purchased pieces of research and writing, and many of them have provided customer reviews on social media and other review sites. We read a number of these as a part of our own review of Essay Box. We also use a number of other factors to produce our reviews, including the company information provided on its website, samples of writing, when they are available, company published testimonials, pricing and additional benefits, and our own experience with the customer support department and the writing staff by ordering a piece of writing ourselves.
Provided Services
Over the years, Essay Box has added to its list of services. It began as a provider of academic writing, from high school through Ph.D. programs. Services included all of the typical writing assignments that students at all of these levels face – essays and papers primarily, but also reviews, research projects (even theses and dissertations), case studies, lab reports, and even admissions and personal statement essays for applicants. It later added grant writing and web content to its list of offerings.
Product/Writer Quality
We use a number of factors in determining quality of writers and products – the quality of writing on the site, samples, a blog if there is one, information the site provides about its writers, and the quality of the research paper we received. These are our findings:
- The quality level of the EssayBox site content is good. It is written in correct English
- There are no writing samples to review
- On the home page, the company states that it uses only American writers. On the FAQ page, however, it states that is uses writers from the UK, Canada, Australia, Western Europe and, as well, ESL writers that have excellent command of the English language.
- Customer reviews out on the web contained complaints about language accuracy and structural grammar errors, although all stated the did receive their pieces on time.
- The company promises unlimited reviews, but customers stated there were delays in getting these accomplished.
- Our own paper had many of the same issue about which other customers complained. We also would like to have seen a higher level of resources, for a college paper.
Customer Support
EssayBox.com states that it is available by phone, chat or email 24 hours a day. we called the customer support department at 10:26 p.m., U.S. central standard time and got a voicemail that state no one was available and to leave a message.
We then contacted via live chat and spoke with Christy, who at first said hello in another language (Eastern European). During our chat, we asked specific detailed questions. Her incorrect English usage was an issue. For example, when we asked about getting a full dissertation from scratch in two weeks, she stated, “That is defiantly possible.” She also had to “put us on hold” to get answers to our questions.
Essay Box may want to think about better training for its reps, that is, if it is not just using an answering service.
Prices and Discounts
EssayBox prices begin at $20/page for a high school piece with a 15-day deadline and run all the way up to $73/page for Ph.D. level with a deadline of 3 hours. Our upper level college paper was priced at $208.00, a bit on the high side for the industry average. Discounts range from 4 – 15% based upon the number of pages in an order. There is a one-time promo code for discounts of 10-15%, based upon number of pages for a first order. Coupon codes are issued periodically, the company states.
Additional Benefits
Customers can ask for free pages through customer support – title, tables of contents and bibliography. There is also the offer of a plagiarism report if requested. Revisions are also free according to the published revision policy.
Conclusion
EssayBox has no BBB membership, and we like to see companies that are registered. In looking at pros & cons, the cons outweigh the pros on this one. Quality of writing is not what it should be, customer support is not what it is claimed to be, and we are not certain exactly where writers are from. While essay Box is certainly not a fraud or scam, we can only provide a rating of “Fair.”

Can`t recommendThe only good thing they have is a support team that is available to contact almost 24/7. The quality of the writing work they perform is expected to be better, the delivery time is fine thought, but the price is way too high for the kind of service they do. just noNo adequate support team. No qualified writers. No free services like plagiarism check or proofreading. So there is definitely no sense of using EssayBox.com for your writing assignment unless you want to get a bad mark for it and waste some money 😉 the biggest regretTo the biggest regret, I must say that there isn`t anything good with this writing resource. They failed with the scheduled delivery of my book report that had to be ready in one week! I was a fool to add to the order an essay. Wrong terms and incorrect summary page. |
